🔦 Introduction

Since our last update, the Rooms of Delirium have become more than just a place to observe—they are now a place to survive. While our previous focus was on bringing the world to life visually, this update is about introducing the core mechanics that will challenge your will to escape.

The descent is no longer just a journey; it's a fight for every scrap of light and life you have left.

🎭 What’s New
This update introduces the true foundations of survival horror. First, you are now vulnerable. The character can take damage, making every shadow a potential threat. But not all hope is lost—you can find health potions hidden in the darkness to mend your body.

Your greatest tool, the flashlight, is now a finite and precious resource. We’ve implemented a flashlight battery system. If it runs out, you'll be swallowed by the dark. You must scavenge for batteries to keep the terror at bay.

To deepen the immersion, we've also added a new wall with dynamic light controls, allowing us to create more oppressive and cinematic atmospheres. The environment itself will now play with the light and your perception.

Finally, to complete the core game loop, we’ve officially added the Main Menu and the inevitable Death Screen. Your journey will now have a formal beginning... and a tangible, terrifying end.

A new build is now available for you to test these new survival systems!

🚪 What’s Next
With these core mechanics in place, our focus now shifts to building out the full, horrifying experience:

  • Adjusting and refining the core madness mechanics.

  • Designing distinct levels, each with its own unique theme and terrors.

  • Adding ambient noises and music to create a complete and immersive audio experience that chills you to the bone.

We're getting closer to finalizing the pillars of the game: survival, exploration, and sanity.

🕯️ Closing Thoughts
The labyrinth is growing more defined. The introduction of survival mechanics transforms the game from a visual journey into a desperate struggle. Light is no longer just for sight—it's a lifeline.

As always, we’re thrilled to have you with us on this descent.
Watch your health... and mind your battery.
